This proposal for a Neurological Care and Rehabilitation Centre aims to meet the Local Council’s goals of rejuvenating areas as well as combatting the rising number of neuro-related injuries each year by providing after-care. The proposal has achieved an excellent BREEAM rating, will maximize site potential, and have a focus on sustained construction through a CLT and Glulam Hybrid Structure. The building will have rooms fit for both the Mental and Physical side of therapy, and over 60 assistive-technology-fitted bedrooms for each patient. The building has several multi-purpose breakout spaces making it less institutional and, through architecture, more open for the client.
