SEN School - Holmewood

Situated in the suburban area of Holmewood, Chesterfield, the school provides a calming environment in which children with varying degrees of special educational needs can learn and thrive. Through the inclusion of natural materials, sensory gardens, and natural light, the building establishes a connection with the outdoors internally and externally. The presence of ground source heat pumps, PV Panels, and Sustainable Urban Drainage Systems (SUDs) such as green roofs and soakaways create a self-sufficient building with a minimal impact on the environment.
