EVOLUTION: Gaming Centre
This proposal is a gaming centre that shows the ‘evolution’ of gaming and technology. The project scheme is located in Digbeth, Birmingham.
EVOLUTION is a gaming centre like no other, as it aims to achieve BREEAM Excellent by using local resources and contractors to reduce the carbon footprint and aims for Zero Carbon. With the plethora of gaming types, from PC’s to VR, people can rejoice at playing their favourite games within a stimulated gaming environment. The gaming centre focuses on bringing online communities to real life through open spaces for a communal style of gaming for all users.

EVOLUTION: Gaming Centre: Project Information
The gaming centre will include exhibition spaces, console, and PC gaming suites, as well as AR and VR suites, as well as a café for all users to convene in. The materiality of the building looks at using a brick-slip system and aluminium rain-screen cladding. The building features the use of a cold roof to regulate and reduce excess heat from heavy machinery on Level 4 for the services.- 01 - 09
