Botanical Garden & Pottery studio

The enclosed pottery garden emphasizes mental health wellbeing through the tools of nature and crafts, healing individuals in difficult times. A new botanical garden and pottery studio are proposed to be built close to the castle grounds. Pottery and gardening offer peaceful satisfaction and an introspective quality through learning knowledge, offering an experience for self-reflection. The space we situate in has influence on your health and mind. The concept is to provide areas to learn, craft and view nature, merged with contemplation points of varying seclusion. The design derives from geometry and surroundings to create places that explore the interactions between humans, flora, and architecture. The thoughtful design will add to the castle’s historic and attractive peripheral, giving guests a place to escape whilst establishing a sense of place for reconnection to themselves.
