School of Regeneration

This product design school focusses on the reforming of single use plastics to educate and encourage a cradle-to-cradle approach to product design. The School of Regeneration provides plastic collection and reforming facilities, on-site, that produce the materials used within the school. The plastics are heated up and reformed into various raw materials to be used by the students. They then have the option to sell their products at an exhibition and showcase event which encourages them to consider the needs of the local consumers as well as learning sustainable, small-business marketing throughout the course, to prepare them for life after university.
Various facilities are available to community groups for educational and social use. This connects Nottingham’s community with the university building, while maximizing the use of the flexible spaces inside throughout the year
