Long Flat Farm SLC Primary School

Located in Marske-By-The-Sea, North Yorkshire, Long Flat Farm Primary School is a special educational needs school for speech, language, and communication needs. The project will be the first special educational needs school in Marske. The scheme will be a part of the modern methods of construction framework, using volumetric construction, and will aim to achieve a high level of pre-manufactured value. The use of off-site construction will aid the scheme in achieving Net Zero Carbon.

The school is for children ages three to eleven years old, with provisions for 92 students. Internally, the school has classrooms, therapy rooms, small group rooms, sensory rooms, as well as quiet rooms. The outdoor space is filled with a large playing area for pupils, an allotment, MUGA, and a nature area.

The BSc (Hons) Architectural Technology course is a professionally-focused gateway to a career in to the architectural industry. Students explore how buildings are created, procured, constructed, and managed, and develop a practical and imaginative approach to design through a project-based learning experience.
